EXECUTION

Minced red lentils

1. Add the garlic and the onion in the pan with oil and cook until they get golden brown. Pour in the lentils and stir them until they make a light crush.

2. Add the remaining ingredients and cook until the lentils get soft. Keep the heat on to thicken the sauce

3. Boil the spaghetti in salt water

4. When the spaghetti is almost ready, transfer them to the pan with the sauce and mix well

INGREDIENTS

• 300 gr. Spaghetti
• 1/2 chopped onion
• 1 clove of garlic, melted or
chopped
• 100 gr. lentils
• 1 tbsp. tomato puree
• 1 cup tomato sauce (250 gr.)
• 1 glass of water (it may be needed to soften the lentils)
• 2 bay leaves or fresh rosemary
• 1 tbsp. spice mixture
• 5 tbsp. olive oil
• Salt / pepper


SPICE MIXTURE
• 1 tbsp. grated cumin
• 1 tbsp. grated coriander
• 1 tbsp. sweet paprika
• 1 tbsp. oregano
• 1 tbsp. thyme
• 1/4 tbsp. Cayenne pepper (optionally)
• ½ onion and garlic powder
